What's going on?

So you know we like our zoo fun. You've seen the videos of Aidan eating or rolling. Or maybe you haven't and that's cool too. It's not terribly exciting unless we're related and even then...

But what else has been going on? Here you go in no particular order...

Aidan officially got his first tooth. It started popping up about a week ago or maybe longer and officially broke through a few days ago. 1 grumpiness inducing, drool causing tooth down, 19 or so to go.

On our way to Wichita our funny girl had the following conversation out of the blue with us. Kate: "Hey guys? If I had 8 people in my room how would I get them out of there?" Daniel: "I would use the door." Kate: "I think I would use my golf club!" After lots of laughing and bewilderment... Daniel: "What if you didn't have a gold club?' Kate: "I would use my sword or my walking stick. Oh Bug!" The "Oh Bug" is when she saw a VW Bug car. But where in the world did she come up with those thoughts?

Speaking of funny kids... As I walked Kate in to school today I hear this little voice repeating "Can I pet her? Can I pet her?" I turn around and see this little girl. "Can I pet her? Can I pet your baby? She's so cute!" I didn't have the heart to tell her it's not a her( he was wearing a green and white sleeper- so maybe), I didn't really want her getting germs all over him, and you don't technically pet babies. But I just smiled and said, "No, that's OK. We have to go." Maybe I should have let her touch a paw (I mean sleeper covered foot.)

Better for petting

Aidan and I have discovered morning naps together are better then him taking a solo nap. Not today though- I went and got a nice large diet coke to pep me up. But waking up at 7 a.m. is not nice. I know, I know.

Yesterday I experienced a first in motherhood. Somehow I managed never to have it happen with Kate but yesterday I got projectile puked on. Don't know what prompted it and it didn't happen again. I think I shrieked and gasped and was seriously grossed out. I got over it quickly though.
